BLACK COPPICE MOOR
BRINSCALL
17 JUNE 2010

Whilst the smoke from this incident could be seen as far away as South Manchester and Cheshire, access to the fire proved exceedingly difficult.  The pictures on this page were actually taken 'over the other side' near Anglezarke.

Large volumes of smoke could be seen for many miles.

Just visible again on the right, are the masts on Winter Hill.

The Softrack vehicle PN08PSO was about to be unloaded.
Just to the right of the vehicle in the distance, the Reebok Stadium at Bolton can be clearly seen.

Daf55 Y541XEO from Chorley was seen in glorious evening sunshine under a cloud of brown smoke.

Reserve appliance T124BCK was on the run at Rawtenstall and seen at the rendezvous point in Brinscall.

Similar appliance T136BCK was on the run at Fulwood and was support pump for the Command Support Unit in Brinscall.
