FIRE IN THE OPEN
JACK'S LANE, HART COMMON
19 MARCH 2013.
I don't often include small incidents,
but this one appeared far more dramatic than it was. I saw
the smoke as I left my home just over a mile away, but in fact the plume
was visible for many miles.
Just one crew was needed to tackle
blaze.
This was the view on my arrival, where I met
a rather worried employee who had tried to extingish the blaze using buckets
of water.
Thankfully he had had the presence of mind
to call the fire service whch was seen here arriving from Hindley.
Shortly after this picture was taken, the fire
was quickly extinguished.
