The Lancashire Fire and Rescue Service Training Centre is based at Washington Hall, Chorley. As well as using former mainline appliances, it also has a dedicated fleet of purpose built driver training vehicles.
Many of the appliances based here over the years, actually appear on the pages of the stations where they first served. However, because of the special regsitration used, and regularly transferred, it has not been possible to identify the first appliance below. It is believed to be from the STJ 9xxM batch.

The first of the Daf LF Driver Training Vehicles PO56VLT with bodywork by Foster Commercials was seen at Headquarters, 7 September 2007.

There have been a number of changes to the S.T.C. fleet since the last complete update in 2004. Vehicles that remain allocated since then are quite easily recognisable as they are the ones that did not receive striping.
