On 9th September 2025 there was
a 15 pump fire in Todmorden, West Yorkshire, close to the Lancashire boundary,
involving Biomass. At the height of the incident there were 7 pumping appliances
from Lancashire, 5 from West Yorkshire and 3 from Greater Manchester. Additionally
2 ALPs were in use from Hyndburn & Blackpool, plus 3 High Volume Pumps
from Greater Manchester and Lancashire. I was invited to visit the area
to photograph some of the appliances in attendance. I photographed a number
of West Yorkshire appliances, but on this page I have just included appliances
from Lancashire and Greater Manchester.
Apologies that the quality of
