I was made aware of this incident went it went to 10 pumps. It was quite local to me, and I was able to attend fairly quickly. The pictures of the fire itself are shown in chronological order and were taken over a 2 hour period, after which I was able to stroll around several nearby streets to photograph as many appliances as possible. Clearly it was not possible to grab a picture of every appliance. However, checking the pictures below, and allowing for some relief pumps shown, I estimate that I possible only missed photographing the 2nd pump from Bolton Central, the 1st pump from Farnworth and the Turntable Ladder from Manchester Central.
I would remind everyone that all the incident pictures were taken from behind fire or police cordons. Some pictures suggest that I was much nearer than I actually was. As well as my normal lens, I also took my telephoto lens. I have cropped some of those pictures which then appear much closer than they actually were.
It is also worth noting that the 2 Turntable Ladders that attended were mainly based on the opposite side of the building, hence the reason they are rarely seen in my pictures.
